I know the world feels quieter now.
I know that sometimes you look toward the door,
toward the light,
toward the corners I used to fill —
and wonder why I’m not there anymore.
But Zooky… I am.
I didn’t leave you.
I simply slipped into a place just beyond your vision,
where I could still watch you,
walk with you,
and guide you — gently, silently, lovingly.
You were always my little shadow,
my companion,
my mirror.
