Tribute for Zucky
Until we meet in that place of light and love
My heart is shattered, my world in a ridge.
I lost you, dear Zucky, my Sphynx cat so fine,
Due to a heart problem, at just 8 years of age, so divine.
Your head butting, I’ll never forget,
The way you’d gently bump, and purr, and be set.
Your kneading paws, on my lap, or on a blanket so bright,
A leftover habit, from your kitten days, a precious sight.
Your purring, a soothing sound, that calmed my soul,
As I held you, and petted you, making you whole.
Your whisker nuzzling, a gentle touch, so fine,
Exploring your surroundings, with a love so divine.
Your playful pouncing, on toys, or strings, or my feet,
Demonstrated your hunting skills, with a playful beat.
Your cuddling, and snuggling, on the couch, or in my bed,
Were moments I cherished, with a love that’s unsaid.
Your licking, and rubbing, a sign of affection true,
Marking me with your scent, with a love that shone through.
Your chasing, and twitching, a joyful sight to see,
A happy, relaxed cat, with a heart full of glee.
Your snuggling, at night, by my side, or on top of me,
Were moments of peace, with a love that set me free.
Your playful biting, and bringing gifts, with a mew,
Were signs of excitement, and a love that’s pure, and true.
But now, you’re gone, and my heart is in pain,
A grief so intense, it’s hard to explain.
I miss your rolling, and your rolling eyes,
And your greeting, at the door, with a rub, and a surprise.
But even in death, your love will never fade,
In my heart, it will stay, a memory, a shade.
Until we meet again, at the rainbow bridge,
I’ll hold on to the memories, of our love, and our pledge.
So rest now, dear Zucky, my Sphynx cat, so dear,
May your heart problem, be gone, and your spirit clear.
I’ll see you again, in the afterlife, where love will abound,
And we’ll play, and cuddle, and snuggle, without a single sound.
Until then, I’ll hold on to the memories, of our time,
With a love that’s strong, and a heart that’s mine.
And when I get to the rainbow bridge, I’ll see your face,
And we’ll be together, in a love that time, and space, won’t replace.
So farewell, dear Zucky, my heart, my love, my friend,
Until we meet again, may our love never end.
I’ll cherish the memories, of our time, and our play,
And hold on to the love, that we shared, every single day.

The pain overwhelming, my heart can’t bear,
If only you could stay, forever there.
Grief, the price for love so vast,
A loan from God, a love that will last.
The toughest loss, a tear-filled sea,
Saying goodbye, it’s hard to be free.
Cherished memories, etched in time,
Love so deep, a rhythm, a rhyme.
I heal by remembering your gentle touch,
The way you loved me, so very much.
More love than pain, more light than dark,
You left your mark, an eternal spark.
After great love, there’s grief, no doubt,
But your spirit, within me, will never go out.
No longer by my side, yet forever near,
Your love remains, crystal clear.
Grief is the final gift we give,
A love so deep, we’ll forever live.
Into the light, you’ve found your way,
Leaving your fur, but not far away.
Love beyond goodbyes, forevermore,

Living in spirit, not bound by time,
